Description: Akira's played by is Suzaku Kururugi from Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion. He is usually found in the male Obelisk Blue uniform. When he isn't, he can more than likely be found wearing this.

Personality: Because of how he grew up, Akira is very helpful, polite, kind-hearted, and disciplined boy. Growing up, he helped his family out on their rice farm as well as helping out others. Don't let this fool you, though. He does have a backbone and serious side. If you do anything to harm his friends, he will do everything he can to protect them. He can, however, get flustered easily.

History: Akira grew up in a town in Japan where rice farming was the main source of income. He grew up with his mother and father with his aunt, uncle, and cousin, Kousuke, who was about his age living next door. Akira grew up helping his family out with various things around the house without complaining. When he was four years old, he had gone shopping with his mom and bet Kurayami Shichiyou, who he bonded with quickly.

Throughout his childhood, Akira was constantly picked on by a boy named Daisuke and his gang, who didn't like Akira's kind attitude and found amusement in beating the boy up. The only times they would leave Akira alone was if he was with Shichiyou. To this day, Akira still is haunted by memories of getting beat up.

One day when Akira was nine, he was out running some errands for his mother when he happened to see some children playing the Duel Monsters card game. He watched them frequently out of curiosity and eventually asked them about it. With his allowance, Akira was able to create a deck and join the others in dueling. Not long after, Shichiyou's mother passed away and Akira did everything he could to comfort his friend. Akira became Shichiyou's emotional support, especially after Shichiyou's father started to mentally abuse him. It was during that time and after his father passed away that Akira started to notice a drastic change in Shichiyou's personality.

When Shichiyou moved in with his grandparents, Akira lost all contact with his friend. Of course, when Shichiyou disappeared, Daisuke and his gang took advantage of this and told Akira horrible things such as Shichiyou didn't care for Akira anymore or that he too had died just like his parents as they continued to beat him up. It was Kousuke who eventually told Akira that he had heard a rumor that Shichiyou had enrolled at North School and helped his cousin cope with the fact that Shichiyou was gone. Around that time, Akira learned of the Pro-Leagues and the money that Pro-Duelists earn. Akira decided it make it a goal to become a Pro-Duelist so he could help his family as well as find Shichiyou again.

At age fifteen, his family was able to help Akira enroll in Duel Academy. Although Akira started out in red in his first year, he improved his skills and grades to make it into blue by his third year. When the tournament against North School was announced, Akira remembered what Kousuke had told him about the rumor he had heard regarding Shichiyou and eventually found him.
